Qatar 22 Riyals FIFA World Cup Commemorative Note:

 

On 9 November 2022, the Central Bank of Qatar unveiled a 22-riyal polymer note commemorating the 2022 FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) World Cup took place in Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022. The strange denomination was an homage to the 22nd World Cup, which coincidentally occurs in 2022. 6,000,000 notes were printed and packaged in a tri-fold cardboard sleeve for sale at 75 riyals from currency exchange offices and banks, but retain legal tender face value of 22 riyals.

 

This note and several commemorative coins were revealed by governor of the Qatar Central Bank, Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani, and president of FIFA Gianni Infantino, along with ministers, dignitaries, state officials and ambassadors.

 If 1984 Mexico World Cup be remembered for Great Diego Maradona, this 2022 edition Qatar World Cup will always be remembered for great Lionel Messi too.The iconic Lusial stadium was favourite hunting ground and proved lucky for Argentina team.In this very ground Argentina defeated Netherlands 3-2 by tie-breaker on 9 th December in the Quarter Final , then got past Croatia at 3-0 scoreline in the Semis on 13 th December before crowning as World Cup winner on 18 th December dethroning France by 4-2 scoreline at tie-breaker. Lusail stadium is the biggest stadium in Qatar and also in the Middle East in terms of capacity of having 88966 spectators.

The World Cup trophy and Qatar 2022 logo are displayed on each side, one of which has a picture of Lusail Stadium, with Al Bayt Stadium on the other. The two stadiums are the venues for the opening and the final World Cup match. One side is printed in English, the other in Arabic. Also found in the background of the note is the Qatar National emblem, the Doha skyline, a dhow and Zubara fort.

At Al Bayt stadium then reigning champion France defeated England by 2-1 in the Quarter Final on 10 th Dec and stormed into the Final before getting past Atlas Lions Morocco in the semis by 2-0 scoreline in the very ground on 14 th December.

 This note comes with a beautiful black folder.Every footbal lover, especially Argentina fan, must be proud of this commemorative 22 Riyals banknote in their kitty.

কাতারের ২২ রিয়াল ফিফা বিশ্বকাপ স্মারক নোট :

 

২০২২ ফিফা বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবলের আসর বসেছিল মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের কাতারে I ২২ তম ফিফা বিশ্বকাপ উপলক্ষে কাতার একটি ২২ রিয়ালের স্মারক নোট উন্মোচন করেছিল । কাতারে প্রচলিত এক, পাঁচ, দশ, পঞ্চাশ, একশ’ এবং পাঁচশ’ রিয়ালের সঙ্গে যোগ হলো এই ২২ রিয়ালের নোট।

 

কাতার সেন্ট্রাল ব্যাংকের গভর্নর শেখ বন্দর বিন মোহাম্মদ বিন সৌদ আল থানি ফিফা প্রেসিডেন্ট জিয়ান্নি ইনফান্তিনোর সঙ্গে নোট ও কয়েন উদ্বোধন করেছিলেন । ২২ রিয়ালের নোটে একদিকে রয়েছে লুসাইল স্টেডিয়াম যে স্টেডিয়ামে আর্জেন্টিনা ৯ ই ডিসেম্বর ২০২২  নেডারল্যান্ডসকে কোয়ার্টার ফাইনালে টাইব্রেকারে ৪-৩ গোলে পরাজিত করেছিল , ১৩ ই ডিসেম্বর আর্জেন্টিনা সেমিফাইনালে ক্রোয়েশিয়াকে ৩-০ গোলে পরাস্ত করেছিল এবং ১৮ ই ডিসেম্বর রাতে বিশ্বকাপ ফাইনালে ফ্রান্সের সাথে নির্ধারিত সময়ে ৩-৩ গোলে অমীমাংসিত থাকার পর টাইব্রেকারে ৪-২ গোলে হারিয়ে শেষ পর্যন্ত লিয়োনেল মেসির হাতে বিশ্বকাপ উঠেছিল I আমাদের মতো মেসি-মারাদোনা- আর্জেন্টিনা ভক্তদের কাছে কাতার বিশ্বকাপ এবং সেই সঙ্গে "পয়া" লুসাইল স্টেডিয়াম অবিস্মরণীয় হয়ে থাকবে I প্রসঙ্গত উল্লেখ্য এই লুসাইল স্টেডিয়ামটি কাতারের সবচেয়ে বড়ো স্টেডিয়াম এবং এশিয়ার মধ্যে দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম I মাঠে দর্শক ধরে ৮৮৯৬৬ জন I কাতারের এই নোটের সম্মুখে ফিফা বিশ্বকাপ ২০২২ র ট্রফি এবং লোগো এবং কাতার রাষ্ট্রের প্রতীক ছাড়াও ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ডে কাতারের রাজধানী দোহা শহরের দিগন্তরেখা দেখা যায় I 

 

এই নোটের পেছন দিকে আল বায়েত স্টেডিয়াম রয়েছে, যে মাঠে ফ্রান্স ১০ ই ডিসেম্বর কোয়ার্টার ফাইনালে ইংল্যান্ডকে ২-১ গোলে হারিয়ে সেমিফাইনালে ওঠে এবং ১৪ ই ডিসেম্বর সেমিফাইনালে মরক্কো কে ২-০ গোলে পরাজিত করে ফাইনালে আর্জেন্টিনার মুখোমুখি হয়েছিল I এই মাঠেই কাতার বিশ্বকাপের উদ্বোধন (Opening Ceremony) হয়েছিল I এছাড়াও এই নোটের পেছনে আল জুবারা ফোর্ট, ধউ জাহাজ (পালতোলা জাহাজ ), পৃথিবীর ছবি রয়েছে I

 

একটা কালো রঙের সুন্দর ফোল্ডারের মধ্যে এই ২২ রিয়াল নোটটি উপলব্ধ I বিশ্বের ফুটবল প্রেমী এবং মেসি আর্জেন্টিনা ভক্তদের কাছে এই নোটটি সংগ্রহের যোগ্য সেটা বলার অপেক্ষা রাখে না!
